In the weeks before Christmas the hotel and its surroundings get immersed in cosiness. A very special event is the Zauchenseer Berg.See.Advent, a Christmas market which sets the village and the shore wonderfully in scene with sounds and light. A musical cloud of classical music envelops the surroundings while light instalments will stimulate your imagination. Brass bands will play traditional pieces. Cosy booths will entice you with local delicacies and artful handicrafts.
A beautiful Christmas almost like at home – this is what we want to offer our big and small guests. A large portion of homeliness and festiveness must not be missed out and neither our traditions and games. Seeking the Christmas tree, a pastoral play, the visit of the Christ Child and distribution of presents, the Christ Child’s arts and crafts workshop and many surprises will bring the spirit of Christmas to the Hotel Alpenhof and to Zauchensee.
At the Alpenhof, a merry New Year’s Eve celebration will tell good-bye to the old year and welcome the new one. We take care of everything that makes a great celebration. An exclusive gala dinner will get you into the mood for a cheerful evening with live band and dancing. The highlight when the clock strikes midnight will of course be the colourful fireworks. And after midnight you can strengthen yourself at our midnight buffet.
In the Carnival week we look forward to many motley costumes! The best costumes will win a prize. Live-Musik for young and old will make everyone laugh.
During winter, Hotel Alpenhof organises a weekly evening with live musicians from the region. Enjoy the traditional sound of the Salzburg mountain world.
Our Gourmet Weeks will not only make your mouth water with special delicacies, but also with a wine tasting with an Austrian top wine maker. Let yourself be surprised and indulged!
Swinging jazz tunes in the cosy ambience of the Alpenhof: Our Dixieland band will bring the flair of the South States to the hotel. While enjoying a good glass of wine at the hotel bar you will listen to great musical pleasures.
Thousands of fans can be seen cheering on the stands when the biennial FIS Ski World Cup of the ladies takes place in Zauchensee. The traditional Night Slalom always takes place in the first half of January.
