The region of Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl belongs to the most beautiful ski regions of Austria and the Alps. Thanks to the World Cup village’s high altitude and the modern snow machines, the winter season begins here already at the end of November and runs to the end of April. Up to 2 metres on the mountain are not uncommon here. Get ready for a winter holiday like in a picture book!
The region in the middle of Ski Amadé offers a variety of slopes for beginners as well as for pros - from easy runs to racing slopes and wide carving pistes to steep mogul slopes and freeride runs, everything can be found here. For the offspring and those skiing again after a pause, there are ski schools right in the village of Zauchensee which offer lessons for children and adults as well as private lessons.
Snowboarders do not only rejoice over the perfectly groomed slopes but also over the snow parks in the ski region Altenmarkt-Zauchensee / Flachauwinkl / Kleinarl. The Familypark at the Rosskopf offers a low-threshold offer of elements, perfect for rookies. Kicker, spine and mushroom, boxes and other highlights on two lines will guarantee fun and adrenaline. A big fun park can also be found in the ski area Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl just a little bit further: The Absolut Park can truly call itself one of the best snow parks in the Austrian Alps. With 1.5 km length and more than 100 obstacles it belongs to the biggest snow parks of the Alps. A kicker line & a beginner line, a rail yard & a jib park, a half pipe, a super pipe, a chill house and a special Burton The Stash Park (a minimalist park embedded in the natural terrain).
